The Appeal of Classic Video Games

With all the high quality games out there, what would make one want to choose one of these old games over a high-tech new one? There are two reasons. First, these games offer some really good entertainment with a very simple premise. Games nowadays have epic storylines, tons of controls, and more combos than you can count. It's just easier to work with a simple game now and then.

The next reason is nostalgia. When you play a classic game, memories of your childhood come flooding back into your mind, and for most people, this is a good thing. I know I had a good time remembering kindergarten while playing Dig Dug. Of course, the nostalgia dissipates over time, but the fun is still there!
